Instructions:

  1. Place your card with the fold on the top. Cut 4 strips from the fancy ivory stripe paper. Glue one strip along the bottom and one along the right. Glue a black/cream flourish paper just inside the strips and trim excess. Glue the other two strips along the top and left, trimming excess.
  2. Cut a strip of cream writing 5 1/2”x1 1/4” and cut a V shape in the right end. Print a greeting on the right 3” of the strip and glue across the card starting at the left stripe, 1” from the top.
  3. Cut 1 5/8”x2 1/2” of cream/white dot paper and mat on dark gray from the Color Block book, leaving a 1/8” border. Insert rose brad and foam tape to card 3/4” from the top and left. Cut two 1/2”x1 1/2” strips of writing and cut V’s in the end of each. Glue at the bottom of the brad mat as shown.
  4. For the inside: Cover the inside with black texture from the Color Block book. Glue a 6”x4 1/2” black/cream floral in the center. Cut 4 1/2”x1 3/4” of cream/white dot, cutting a V in the right end. Print a greeting on the piece and mat on black texture with a 1/8” border. Glue to card 1/4” from the right. Mat 2 1/4”x1 1/2” of cream/white stripe on gray texture with a 1/8” border. Insert the heart brad in the center and foam tape to the card 1/4” from the left and 1 1/4” from the bottom.
  5. For the envelope: Cut out and score a standard envelope using the 2 Envelopes Template and cream texture paper from the Color Block book. Fold and unfold the fold lines. Use a cosmetic sponge and Gray Whale ink to ink all the edges. Assemble and glue the envelope together and ink the folded edges for an antique look. Take a black/cream flourish page from the Antique Cream paper pad and place the flourish corner in the envelope. Mark where the fold of the envelope is and fold here on the flourish paper. Glue the black liner to only the top flap of the envelope (don’t glue along or below the fold so your envelope can close). Turn the envelope over and cut off excess black liner.
