Supplies:

Paper Pizazz® Fresh Citrus sarapapers™: Lime color block, orange swirls, multi striped and black glimmer papers
Paper Pizazz® Swirly Doodles Template
Citrus Embellish-abilities™: Yellow silk flower, painted heart brads, orange big brad, orange mini brads, pink mini brads & yellow mini brads
black pen
black ink pad
3/4" circle punch
glue stick

Instructions:

Place the lime color block paper with the large lime block in the top right corner. Ink the edges of a 5 1/2"x8" piece of orange swirls paper and glue it at an angle over the left side of the large lime color block. Add short zigzag penwork around the edges of the swirls paper, imitating the stitches printed on the background paper. Turn over the template and trace swirl E (not including the dots) over the bottom left corner of the swirls paper. Accent the swirl with three orange mini brads.
Mat a 5"x7" photo on black glimmer paper and trim the mat to 1/8". Glue the photo over the right side of the swirls paper and add three painted heart brads down the bottom left edge.
Punch a 3/4" circle of multi striped paper and write the subject's initial on the circle. Glue the circle to the top of an orange big brad and use the brad to attach a yellow silk flower to the top left of the photo.
Trace swirl E (not including the dots) twice to the right of the photo, then trace swirl G overlapping swirl E three times. Accent the swirls with orange, pink and yellow mini brads and journal around the swirls.

A tip from LeNae: Layering photos and journaling on top of traced swirls adds dimension to your layout. To do this, prepare your photos and journaling as you normally would, but simply set them on your page instead of gluing them in place. Once you've determined the placement of your elements, you can remove the elements one at a time to trace swirls underneath, then glue everything in place on top of the swirls. Before removing my elements, I find it helpful to lightly mark the edges or corners with a pencil. This way I don't lose track of their spot and I can better determine just how much of the swirl is going to be visible when I glue the element on top of it.
