Sweet Nothings
By Shauna Berglund-Immel

The sun has come out of hiding and what better way to accent the colors of your hot summer memories than with cool Fresh Citrus sarapapers? This paper collection comes in a bright rainbow of pink, yellow, lime, teal and purpleyou even get glimmer paper to really add some sparkle to your scrapbook layouts! In this Sweet Nothings layout, Shauna accented the colors in her photos with patterned Fresh Citrus sarapapers and convenient, coordinating tags, then embellished the page with just a few brads and knotted ribbon strips.
Fresh Citrus sarapapers are perfect for all of my upcoming summer layouts, no matter what the activity! Shauna raves. From swimming to family reunions to ice cream in the park, the bright colors really emphasize the themes of my pages, but theyre not too overwhelming. The patterned papers have a scuffed textured effect to soften the colors and patterns so they dont overpower my photos. And theyre versatile, Shauna adds. These papers are great for springtime, kids and teen pages too!

Instructions:
- Use the two blue grid with striped border papers as the background for this double-page spread. Mat the photos on purple glimmer paper, then trim the mat to 1/16. Cut two 8 1/4x6 pieces of yellow grid paper. Using a glue stick, adhere the yellow grid paper 1 down from the top of the pages, flush against the inner edges so the paper meets in the middle of the double-page spread as shown. Center the four photos across the double-page spread on top of the yellow grid paper and adhere using a glue stick. Using a black pen, draw stitch marks around the edges of the yellow grid paper, except the edges that meet in the middle.
- Cut a 1 1/4 square of lime texture paper and journal sweet nothings with a black pen, then add stitch marks down the left and right sides. Mat on purple glimmer paper and trim the mat to 1/16. Cut out the lime grid tag from the artwork and adhere the journaling to the center of the tag using foam mounting tape. Add a yellow brad to the top of the tag and secure the tag at an angle in the top left corner of the yellow grid paper on the left page using foam mounting tape. Cut a 3 length of lavender grosgrain ribbon and tie a knot in the center. Attach the knot to the tag, just under the brad, using a Zot.
- Cut a 1 1/4x3/4 piece of lime texture paper and journal the name and date with a black pen, then add stitch marks down the left and right sides. Mat on purple glimmer paper and trim the mat to 1/16. Cut out the yellow grid tag from the artwork and adhere the journaling to the center of the tag using foam mounting tape. Add a yellow brad to the top of the tag. Cut out the blue grid tag and adhere it at an angle in the bottom right corner of the yellow grid paper on the right page using foam mounting tape. Adhere the yellow grid tag at an angle on top of the blue grid tag using foam mounting tape. Cut a 3 length of lavender grosgrain ribbon and tie a knot in the center. Attach the knot to the yellow grid tag, just under the brad, using a Zot.
- Punch six circles: Two out of lime texture paper, two lavender glimmer and two yellow grid. Add stitch marks around the edges of the lime texture circles with a black pen and ink the edges of the purple glimmer and yellow grid circles with black. Crumple and smooth out the yellow grid circles. Journal sweet and sticky onto the lime texture circles and yummy and messy onto the yellow grid circles. Cut two 1 1/4x1/2 pieces of yellow grid paper and journal cold and juicy onto them, then ink the edges with black and adhere to the center of the purple glimmer circles using a glue stick.
- Cut two 3 lengths of lavender grosgrain ribbon and knot the centers, then attach one each to the top of the lime texture circles using Zots. Add a yellow brad to the top of each purple glimmer circle. Attach the circles across the double-page spread under the photos, as shown, using foam mounting tape.
- Journal onto the yellow portion of each striped border on both pages using a black pen.
