Designer’s Tip: I like to add 3-D elements to my card by foam taping stamped images over the stamped background image. Adding Crystal Lacquer to the stamped images adds gloss and another layer of dimension.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Place the card fold on the side and cover with the bottom left corner of the green Roses & Lace border paper. Stamp the roses Post Card stamp onto ivory cardstock and paint with Pink Gumball, Grape Fizz and Sour Apple Perfect Pearls mixed with a small amount of water. Let dry. Stamp a second image on ivory cardstock and cut out the large and medium roses and large and medium butterflies. Paint with the same Perfect Pearls as the original image. Let dry and foam tape over the images on the painted full postcard.
  2. Glue the post card to the card, slightly off center. Stamp a medium butterfly overlapping the top of the post card and a second on ivory. Cut out and paint pink and grape. Foam tape over the first stamped image at the card top. Stamp “Greetings” on ivory cardstock and cut out. Paint with Perfect pearls and foam tape extending over the right side of the post card. Use a length of ½” wide Roses & Lace pink dot ribbon to make a bow and Zot™ to the top left side of the card. Apply Crystal Lacquer to the edges of the rose petals, the bodies of the butterflies and then paint over the wings to make them glossy.
  3. Inside: Cover with green rose border paper. Ink edges of 3”x1 ¼” Roses & Lace pink dot paper and mat with ivory cardstock, leaving 1/8” border. Glue to the card 1 ½” from the top. Stamp 2 medium butterflies to the right of the sentiment. Stamp again on ivory cardstock and paint butterflies with pink and grape. Foam tape over the stamped butterflies on the card.
