Designer’s Tip: You can create 2-color glittered butterflies by first glittering the outline, then placing the innies and glittering with a separate color.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Cut the card to a 5” square and place with the fold on the top. Cover the card with metallic gold paper. Cut a 4 3/4” square from burgundy leaves paper and glue it centered on the card. Cut a 5”x2” light burgundy textured paper and mat long edges on gold with 1/16” borders. Glue across the card, 3/4” from the bottom. Cut a 5”x3/4” pink textured paper and mat long edges on dark burgundy paper with 1/16” borders. Glue across the card, 1 1/8” from the bottom.
  2. Cut a 1 1/2”x2 1/2" gold rectangle and cut a “V” in the bottom. Mat on dark burgundy paper with 1/16” borders. Mat again on pink textured paper with 1/16” borders. Place Dazzles™ “HI!” and a small butterfly on the center of the banner, then sprinkle on pink glitter. Rub the glitter into the Dazzles™ and tap off the excess. Glue on the card, 3/4” from the left side and even with the top of the burgundy leaves paper.
  3. Place the Dazzles™ side-facing butterfly onto dark burgundy paper and cover with gold glitter, brushing off the excess. Place the 3 innies back onto the butterfly and cover with pink glitter. Trim around the butterfly, leaving a 1/16” border. Foam tape on the card 5/8” from the right and top. Place a butterfly onto gold paper and cover with pink glitter. Replace the innies and cover with gold glitter. Trim around the edges, leaving a 1/16” border, and foam tape on the card angled to the left as shown, 1/2" from the bottom. Place a small butterfly onto dark burgundy paper. Cover with gold glitter and trim around the edges leaving a 1/16” border. Glue on the left side of the pink textured strip as shown. Place 2 swirls near the bottom of the larger butterflies. Cover with gold glitter, brushing off the excess.
