About the Cards

Believe it or not, impressive designer cards dont have to take all weekend to create! LeNae combined lush, coordinating papers from the new Cardmakers Earths Palette Creative Pack with trendy overlays, colorful brads, metallic clips and textured ribbons to create these cool handmade cards.
Turn the card so the fold is at the top. Cover the front of the card with brown textured with brown multi stripe border paper, aligning the border flush against the bottom edge of the card. Set aside the excess paper for use on the inside of the card. Use a brown ink pad to ink around the edges of the brown textured portion of the card front.
Cut out the thank you border overlay and lay it across the card, aligning the bottom of the overlay with the top of the striped border on the card front, then trim the edges of the overlay even with the edges of the card front. Punch one 1/16 hole in each end of the overlay border and add one dark purple mini brad to each hole, securing the overlay on the card front.
Cut out the many thanks tag overlay and glue it at an angle over the right side of the brown texture portion of the card front. Cut out the file folder and ink the edges brown. Glue the folder together so it doesnt open, then secure it over the left portion of the of the card front, slightly overlapping the tag overlay. Cut out the grateful overlay and glue it across the front of the file folder. Cut a 3 1/2 length of ivory grosgrain ribbon and trim the tails at an angle. Tie a knot in the center of the ribbon and use a Zot to attach the knot to the tab on the tag overlay.
For the Card Inside:
Recall the paper scraps left over from step 1 and cut a 2 1/2x1 5/8 piece of brown textured paper, inking the edges brown. Glue the brown textured piece centered on the inside of the card, 3/8 from the fold. Cut a 3/4 wide strip off the bottom of a piece of brown multi stripes paper and glue it 7/8 down from the fold, overlapping the brown textured paper piece. Trim the edges of the multi stripe paper even with the edges of the card.
Cut the thank you overlay to a 2x1 1/8 rectangle and glue it over blue textured paper. Trim the paper even with the edges of the overlay, then glue centered over the brown textured paper piece and the multi stripe paper that runs across it.
Cut a 3 1/2 length of ivory grosgrain ribbon and trim the tails at an angle. Tie a knot in the center of the ribbon and use a Zot to attach the knot centered just under the thank you overlay.
Place the card with the fold at the left, then trim 1 1/2 off the bottom of the card to create a 5 square card. Cover the front of the card with dark blue textured paper and ink the edges black. Cut a 4 1/2 square of lavender vellum and glue it centered on the card front. Cut a 3 3/4 square of green with circles paper and ink the edges, then glue centered on the card front.
Cover one stereo slide mount with light blue textured paper and ink the outer edges black. Frame the what a pal! tile in the window of the slide mount. Turn the slide mount so the large edge is on the bottom, then punch a series of 4 holes evenly spaced above the slide mount window. Add one light blue, one sage, one navy and one lavender mini brad to the holes. Glue the slide mount centered 1 in from the card fold.
Cut out the green polka dot border and glue it across the card front, overlapping the large bottom edge of the slide mount. Trim the excess border even with the edges of the card and set aside for use on the inside of the card. Cut out the friendship ribbon fragment and ink the edges, then glue it in the bottom right corner of the green with circles paper piece.
Cut out the thinking of you tile and ink the edges black. Mat on light blue textured paper, trimming the mat to 1/16, and ink the edges. Use foam tape to secure the matted tile to the right of the slide mount, aligning the top edge of the matted tile with the top edge of the slide mount. Cut a 2 length of green woven ribbon and trim the tails at an angle. Tie the ribbon in a knot around a silver spiral mini clip, then add the clip to the top right corner of the tile.
For the Card Inside:
Cut a 2 1/8x2 1/2 piece of lavender vellum and glue centered on the inside of the card. Cut out the light blue textured tag and glue it centered over the lavender vellum. Recall the leftover green polka dot border from step 3 to add a 2 strip of the border across the bottom of the tag.
Cut out the green with circles tag and glue it at an angle over the light blue textured tag. Cut out the thanks a million! tile and ink the edges black. Use foam tape to secure the tile over the green with circles tag.
