Finish up this year's holiday cards with coordinating products from Hot Off The Press' Cardmaker's line! Joy
Supplies:
For the Front:
- Place the card with the fold on the left and cover the card front with red textured paper. Glue a 5"x1/2" strip of green words paper 3/8" from the top of the card front and a 5"x2 1/4" piece 3/8" from the bottom of the card front. Glue the brown stitched border punch-outs overlapping the bottom edge of the top strip and the top edge of the bottom paper piece, trimming any excess border even with the card edges.
- Add a green brad to the top of the “J” punch-out. Fold 1 1/2" of green ribbon in half and secure the loose ends behind the top of the “o” punch-out. Add a green mini brad to the top and bottom of the “Y” punch-out, then foam tape the letters at varying angles across the center red portion of the card front.
- Add a red mini brad to the top of the “to you this Christmas” tag punch-out, then foam tape the tag in the bottom right corner of the card front.
For the Inside:
- Glue a 2 1/4"x4 3/4" piece of red textured paper centered down the top of the card inside. Glue the “Have a simply beautiful holiday” punch-out across the top of the paper piece, then foam tape a circular holly punch-out below the sentiment.
Season's Greetings
Supplies:
For the Front:
- Place the card with the fold on the left, cover the card front with white/blue mosaic paper and sand the edges. Sand the edges of a 2 1/2"x6 1/2" piece of blue textured paper and glue it even with the right edge.
- Add the white “happy holidays” rub-on to blue textured paper and punch to a 3/4" circle. Glue the rub-on to the top of a white Great Big Brad™. Sand the edges of the “greetings” punch-out and add the Great Big Brad™ to the center of the snowflake. Glue the punch-out centered on the card front.
- Sand the edges of the letter punch-outs to spell “season's”. Glue the punch-outs at varying angles across the top of the card front, omitting the letter “o”. Add a silver brad to the center of a small white silk flower and Zot™ the flower in place of the “o”. Add a silver mini brad to the apostrophe punch-out and Zot™ it between the “n” and the last “s”.
- Sand the edges of the snowflake border punch-out and add silver mini brads to three snowflake centers. Glue the border across the bottom of the card front, trimming any excess even with the card edges.
- Knot a length of light blue sheer ribbon and Zot™ the knot over the bottom right corner of the “greetings” punch-out.
For the Inside:
- Sand the edges of a 5"x2 1/2" piece of blue textured paper and glue it across the center of the card inside.
- Sand the edges of the blue words tag. Add the white “snowflakes” rub-on to blue textured paper and punch to a 3/4" circle. Glue the rub-on to the top of a white Great Big Brad™. Fold 1" of light blue sheer ribbon in half and secure the loose ends behind the top of the tag by inserting the Great Big Brad™ in the tag's tab. Glue the tag over the right side of the blue paper.
- Sand the edges of the “Warmest wishes...” punch-out and attach it across a 1"x4 3/4" piece of white/blue mosaic paper with a silver mini brad in each end. Glue the strip across the center of the blue paper.
Christmas Cheer
Supplies:
For the Front:
- Trim the card to a 5" square and place it with the fold on the left. Cover the card front with green trees paper and ink the edges.
- Ink the edges of a 4 1/2" square of burgundy scroll paper and glue the back of the file folder punch-out across the bottom. Fold 1 1/2" of green ribbon in half and secure the loose ends behind the top of the “May your holiday...” punch-out. Glue the sentiment at an angle with the bottom edge tucked slightly in the file folder. Glue the front of the file folder in place.
- Layer a small white silk flower on top of a green flower and attach them to the left of the sentiment with a red brad. Zot™ a knot of green ribbon over the bottom left edge of the file folder. Add the black “cheer” rub-on to the top of a red Great Big Brad™ and attach the brad over the bottom right edge of the file folder.
- Glue the burgundy paper centered on the card front.
For the Inside:
- Ink the edges of a 3 1/2"x2 3/4" piece of green trees paper. Ink the edges of a 3"x1 1/2" piece of burgundy scroll paper. Fold 1 1/2" of green ribbon in half and secure the loose ends behind the top right edge of the burgundy paper. Glue the burgundy paper over the green paper.
- Glue the “joy” punch-out over the right side of the burgundy paper. Add the “Christmas” rub-on to the top of a bright green Great Big Brad™ and attach it over the left end of the punch-out. Glue the papers over the top of the card inside.
- Glue the striped border punch-out overlapping the bottom edge of the green trees paper, trimming any excess even with the card edge.
