Instructions:
For the Card Front:

  1. Place the card with the fold at the top and cover the card front with brown striped paper. Ink the edges of a 5 1/2"x2 5/8" piece of tan texture paper brown, then glue centered and even with the right edge of the card front. Ink the edges of a 1 1/4"x5" strip of tan paper and glue it 1/8" from the left side of the card front.
  2. Sand the edges of black “M” and “!” monograms. Trace and cut the template's second smallest rounded tag shape twice from brown dotted paper. Ink the edges and glue an ivory “S” monogram to one tag.
  3. Glue the “M”, “S” and “!” monograms across the horizontal tan paper, in that order, leaving space between for stamping. Stamp straight, “S”-shaped and “U”-shaped arrows in black in the spaces to complete the phrase “Miss U!”. Add a brown brad to a white asterisk monogram and use it to dot the “i”.
  4. Stamp two arrows pointing opposite directions in the top left corner of the card front. Zot™ a bow of gingham ribbon to the top of the “S” tag.

For the Card Inside:

  1. Glue a 6 1/2"x2 5/8" piece of black texture paper even with the bottom of the card inside. Ink the edges of a 6 1/4"x2" strip of tan texture paper brown. Mat one long edge on brown striped paper and trim to 1/2". Glue the paper with the striped mat even with the bottom edge of the card inside.
  2. Sand the edges of black “W” and “R” monograms and a brown asterisk. Glue a white “H” monogram to the second dotted tag, then glue the “W”, “H” and “R” monograms across the tan paper, leaving space between for stamping. Stamp swirl arrows in the spaces to complete the word “where”. Add a white brad to the brown asterisk and Zot™ it to the left of the “H”.
  3. Stamp an arrow pointing up in the top right corner of the tan paper.
  4. Computer journal “have you been” on tan paper. Trace the template's smallest rounded tag shape around the journaling, then cut out and ink the edges. Glue the tag above the stamped arrow and Zot™ a gingham bow to the tab.

Happy Birthday
By Tessa Bundy

Stamping makes it easy to add any theme to your handmade cards. This cheerful card could be used for any occasion depending on the phrase you choose to stamp. Tessa stamped “happy birthday” across the card for a birthday theme, stamping in black to contrast with the brightly colored papers.
