Tip of the Day

Day 1: Why not give the gift of crafting time this Christmas? A “coupon” for a day of card-making, scrapbooking or jewelry-making with a crafting pal (or one who doesn’t craft—yet) makes a thoughtful gift.

Good Luck

Get all the major supplies needed to make this project with the Good Luck Set Bundle or you can order them separately.

Susan's Tip: I created a stamped focal with words and shamrocks, plus a shamrock border for this "good luck" card. The glitter sheet adds a pretty sparkle to the card and really dresses it up! It's easy to cut, and adds texture, too.

Instructions:

  1. With the fold at the left, trim the card to a 5" square. Ink the edges of a 4 3/4" yellow/lime/blue/white plaid paper square and glue it centered to the card front. Cut a 1 1/2" yellow textured paper square and stamp "Good Luck" on the center. Stamp a shamrock in each corner, turning them as shown. Mat on the glitter sheet, leaving a 1/8" border. Glue centered to the card front, 1 1/4" from the top.
  2. Cut a 4 1/2"x1/2" yellow paper strip and stamp shamrocks along it, evenly spaced, alternating a straight and turned stamp position. Mat on the glitter sheet, then glue across the card, 1/2" from the bottom. Zot™ a ribbon knot near the center focal as shown.
  3. Inside the card: Cut a 2 5/8"x1/2" yellow paper strip and stamp "You're the Best" on the center. Stamp a shamrock at each side, turning the stamp as shown. Mat on a glitter sheet, then mat on plaid paper, leaving a 1/2" border. Ink edges and glue centered to the inside.
