Susan's Tip: Several of the chipboard pieces are smooth for writing on them to personalize, and others are glittery for extra texture, sparkle, and fun.
Birthday Memories Pail
By Susan Cobb
- Cut three 6 3/4"x 6" green cardstock rectangles. Score down the center of each with the dull side of your knife, and fold on the scored line. Cover the right and left sides of each panel (front only) with green circles paper, trimming edges evenly with the cardstock. Place the "happy" overlay across the top of the first folded panel. Cut apart at the center, then glue across the top of the folded panel, so the overlay pieces meet at the fold. Trim edges evenly. Repeat at the bottom for the "birthday" overlay.
- Decorate the folded panel with photos framed with chipboard shapes, chipboard flowers, hearts, and arrows as desired. Complete remaining panels, then glue backs together to form three sides of folded panels. Fold slightly to place inside the pail, attaching at bottom center with a glue dot to hold in place.
- Decorate the outside of the pail with chipboard swirls, flowers, and ribbon. Tie ribbons to handle. Write "Birthday Memories" on round chipboard tag and thread floss through the hole. Attach to the lid so it hangs down the right side of the pail. Attach large chipboard flower and glittered center to lid, covering the end of the floss. Attach chipboard flowers to the tag and floss as shown.
