Mother's Day Card
By Susan Cobb
Susan's Tip: I used a brown pen to add stitching to the rectangle on the card front, as well as along the bottom edge of the striped paper on the inside. I also added stitches to the sides of the "Hand Crafted by" label on the back. I mixed 2 different stitches, but you could use more or just stick with one if you prefer. Add the stitching before adding the foam-taped pieces to allow for easy use of the template.
- Place your card so the fold is at the top. Glue the blue floral pattern to the front of your card aligning it with the fold. Trim the excess on the sides then trim along the scalloped edge as shown.
- Glue the striped strip across the center of the green and pink floral rectangle. Glue to the center front of your card. Use the template and brown pen to add faux stitching across the edges of the rectangle and at the ends of the striped paper strip. Add a pink mini brad to the center of a large flower. Foam tape the "Just A Note" art and large flower as shown.
- Inside the card: Glue the floral blocked paper to the inside of your card, trim the excess. Use the template and brown pen to add faux stitching across the bottom edge of the narrow striped border of the blocked paper. Cut a 4 1/4" long strip of paper lace and trim along the scalloped edge. Foam tape it and the "To Wish you" art to the inside as shown. Add a pink mini brad to the center of the mini flower. Use two layers of foam tape to attach the mini flower as shown.
- Sign your "Hand Crafted by" label and glue to the back of your card. Use the template and brown pen to add faux stitching to the edges of the label as desired.
