Tip of the Day

Day 1: Why not give the gift of crafting time this Christmas? A “coupon” for a day of card-making, scrapbooking or jewelry-making with a crafting pal (or one who doesn’t craft—yet) makes a thoughtful gift.

Designer Tip: Adhere the ornament stickers to burgundy paper and stitch with green sparkles thread before cutting out. I love the sparkle that the thread adds to the ornaments.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Place the card fold at the left. Cover the card front with a 4 3/4”x6 1/4” rectangle of green striped paper. Glue a 3” wide strip of burgundy script paper 1” from the bottom of the card.
  2. Glue a length of burgundy ribbon 3/4” from the left edge. Line 3 ornament Dazzles™ with burgundy paper and glue to a 4”x2 1/4” white cardstock rectangle. Mat the rectangle with green paper, leaving a 1/8” wide border. Stitch the ornaments with green sparkle thread. Use a pen to draw loopy lines from the ornament to the top of the cardstock. Glue the cardstock 2 1/2” from the top of the card and 1/2” from the fold.
  3. Tie a bow to the large burgundy tag and glue overlapping the ornament rectangle.
  4. Inside the card: Glue a 2” wide strip of green striped paper near the right inside back. Line two package stickers with burgundy paper. Glue to the card and then stitch with green thread.
