St. Patrick’s Day card
By LeNae Gerig |
Supplies:
Instructions:
- With the fold at the left side, cover the top 1/3 of the card with the green dot paper and the bottom 2/3 with the tan paper. Trim the paper even with the card and ink the edges.
- Cut a 2 1/4”x2 3/4” rectangle of tan dot paper and ink the edges brown. Mat with green vellum, leaving a 1/4” wide border. Glue to the card front as shown.
- Trace the 4 leaf clover template on to the back of green textured paper and cut out. Ink the edges and fold. (tip: I like to add a small amount of adhesive to the center of the clover before folding to help the petals stay secure.) Glue the stem and clover to the dot rectangle. Write “feeling lucky?” at the bottom right of the card front.
- Inside the card: Cut a 2 1/4”x4” strip of tan dot paper and ink the edges. Glue to the left side of the card inside back. Fold a second clover and glue to the rectangle. Write “Happy St. Patrick’s Day!” at the bottom.

Designer Tip: I like to use a cotton swab to apply ink around the edges of the flower-before folding the petals. The ink adds dimension to the petals and defines each petal individually.
