Happy Easter
By Susan Cobb |
Supplies:
Instructions:
- With the fold at the left, trim the card to a 5" square. Cover the card front with lavender floral paper with the soft green striped border aligned at the bottom edge. Glue the lavender border art across the top edge of the green border, and trim the side edges evenly with the card front.
- Attach the 1 1/4" butterfly Dazzle™ to lavender vellum with the antennae off the edge of the vellum, so you can easily pull up the antennae and cut away the vellum beneath them. Glue angled on the center of the circle/square art, then mat on lavender vellum, leaving a 1/4" border. Glue to the lavender floral area of the card front, 3/4" from the right and 5/8" from the top edge. Add 3 small butterfly Dazzles™ to the left of the larger butterfly as shown.
- Add the floral border Dazzle™ across the lavender border on the card front, and trim to fit the space. Add lavender crystal stickers to the flower centers and the "head" of the larger butterfly.
- Computer print "Happy Easter" and "Enjoy the blessings of this day" on lavender textured paper or write by hand with the black pen. Trim "Happy Easter" to a rectangle and mat on lavender vellum, leaving a 1/16" border. Glue to lower left of card front as shown.
- Inside the card: Trim "Enjoy the blessings of this day" to a square and mat on lavender vellum, leaving a 1/4" border. Trim the remaining floral/border paper to a 2 1/2"x4" rectangle, then glue the greeting to the floral portion. Glue centered to the inside of the card. Add small butterfly Dazzles™ near the greeting, and a dotted border Dazzle™ to the green border. Add 3 lavender crystal stickers evenly spaced on the border as shown.

Designer Tip: For the butterfly focal on the card front, attach the 1 1/4" butterfly Dazzle™ to lavender vellum and cut around the edges, then glue it to the center of the circle/square art. A lavender crystal sticker is the perfect finishing touch for the "head" of the butterfly. They work great for flower centers on the Dazzle™ border as well. Add some small butterfly Dazzles™ "in flight" together to the left of the focal, to balance the space and add interest.
