Friend Card
By LeNae Gerig |
Supplies:
Instructions:
- Cut the scalloped border from the textured burgundy paper. Cut along the edge of the scallops. Place the card with the fold at the top and glue the scalloped border even with the bottom edge of the card.
- Cover the remaining portion of the card with burgundy floral print paper. Glue the green “Just a note…” paper border across the seam between the two papers.
- Stacked Rose: Adhere the leaves to green vellum and cut out next to the gold edge. Adhere the largest layer of rose to the remaining burgundy paper that was cut from the scalloped border. Adhere the next layer of rose to pink vellum and finally the smallest layers on the burgundy paper. Cut out the pieces and glue the leaves behind the largest rose layer. Stack the remaining layers with foam tape between. Glue to the card front, over the green border.
- Inside the card: Cover the right inside back with the remaining burgundy border paper and cover left with a 1 ½” wide strip of burgundy floral print paper. Cover the paper seam with a rose border. Glue the “friend” cut-out over the border.

Designer Tip: For additional dimension between the rose layers, place double layers of foam tape. When mailing, place a piece of cardstock between the rose and the envelope.
