Ann's Tip:You can ink silk flowers with StazOn to change their color. A single color added to black and white makes a big statement..

Instructions

  1. Place the paper so the stripes are horizontal. Journal the title and text on a 5”x3 3/4” white cardstock and mat on red cardstock, leaving a 1/8” border. Insert a black jewel brad in the top right and bottom right corners of the journaling. Glue to the page 3/4” from the right and 1” from the top.
  2. Mat a 5”x7” photo on red cardstock, making a 1/16” mat. Mat again on black cardstock, making a 1/4” mat. Mat once more on red cardstock, making a 1/16” mat. Glue to page 3/4” from the right and ½” from the top.
  3. Cut three 2 1/4”x2 3/4” photos. Cut three 2 3/4”x4” pieces of red cardstock and mat them onto black cardstock, leaving a 1/16” border. Cut three 2 1/4”x3/4” pieces of white cardstock and write names on them. Glue the photos and the corresponding names onto the matted red cardstock as shown. Insert a red or black jewel brad to either side of each name. Glue the photos to the page along the bottom and slightly tilted as shown, about 3/4” from the bottom.
  4. Take a 2 ½” red (or any color) flower and use a Black StazOn inkpad to directly ink the flower black. Stack the flower on top of two larger red flowers and insert a Red Burst brad in the center. Glue the flower to the page under the journaling, 1 ½” from the right and 3 ½” from the bottom.
