Why I Love Books

Instructions:

  1. Cut a 1” wide piece of ivory cardstock and skim the brown inkpad across it. Attach sticker letters, then sand the stickers. Attach the strip to the top of the black with books background paper.
  2. Mat a large photo on ivory cardstock, then evergreen cardstock. Edge each one with the brown inkpad. Place the matted photo at an angle on the left side of the page. Mat one smaller photo on green cardstock and place on the top right corner of the page. Mat the other small photo on tan cardstock and place just below the large photo.
  3. Computer journal on ivory cardstock, then cut the journaling into blocks. Lightly stamp the script stamp with brown ink onto each piece. Type your favorite book titles onto ivory cardstock and mat on green. Staple the journaling to the page as shown.

A Tip From Sara:

This is sort of a stream-of-consciousness style of journaling. There’s no chronology or traditional facts here. Instead, I sat down at my computer and just started typing what I love about books. I ended up with a very long list!

When describing things that mean a lot to you, use the five senses—smell, sight, sound, touch and taste—as guides. You’ll get much more specific journaling.
