Be Mine, Valentine card
By Ann Bernklau
Designer Tips: The glittered cardstock is quite thick, so be careful when cutting. Aleene's Tacky Glue works best for gluing down the thick cardstock, or when gluing elements on top of it.
- With the fold on top, cover the card with white glitter paper. Cut a 6½" length of the red glitter ribbon, peel off backing, and place across the center of the card.
- On the back of the red glitter paper, trace the F1 and F2 hearts from the template. Cut along the lines to make a large heart window. Within the inner heart, cut out another heart window using the F3 and F4 hearts. Cut out an F3 heart from silver glitter paper and glue to the back of the smaller red heart window. Glue to center of card and glue the large red heart window surrounding the smaller heart.
- Write/print "Be mine," on an H3 heart cut out of white cardstock. Mat onto red glitter paper, leaving a 1/8" border. Make an identical matted heart with the word "Valentine" on it. Glue "Be mine" to the top left of the large heart and "Valentine" to the bottom right as shown.
- Place small strips (2-4 crystals each) of 3mm ruby red crystals extending to the sides of the small hearts. Add a 5mm crystal to the end of each small strip.
