Blinged Butterfly Card

Designer Tip: Place the translucent beads over a white background to make the colors really pop!

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Cut the card to a 5" square, and place with the fold on top. Cover with purple cardstock. Cut a 4 7/8" square of white cardstock and draw lines 1/16" from the edges with a black pen. Place two small butterfly Dazzles 1 1/2" from the top and 1/4" from either side as shown. Cover with Leaf microbeads, press gently and tap off the excess.
  2. Zot a 5 1/2" black Geometrics crepe ribbon 5/8" from the bottom edge, tape the ends to the back of the panel. Tie a bow with 8" of ribbon and notch the ends, then Zot as shown. Glue the panel to the center of the card.
  3. Cut 3"x2 1/2" white cardstock and draw lines 1/16" from the edges with a black pen. Place the butterfly Dazzles body and antennae in the center 3/8" from the top. Cover with black glitter and tap off the excess. Place the wings on either side of the body, cover with Fountain glitter and tap off the excess. Place the bottom accent pieces of each wing on the butterfly, cover with Grape microbeads and tap off the excess. Place the top accent wing pieces on the butterfly, cover with Leaf microbeads and tap off the excess.
  4. Mat section on purple cardstock with 1/6" borders. Foam tape to the center of the card 1/2" from the top. Place a small butterfly on white cardstock, cover with Leaf microbeads and tap off the excess. Then cover with Fountain glitter, press gently and tap off the excess. Cut out with and X-acto knife and ink the edges black. Zot to the center of the bow.
