Good Thing Shoes Card
By Erica Hettwer
Designer Tip: Start with less color to begin; it's easier to add then to subtract.
- Place your card with the fold on top and cover with Grapefruit multicolored circle paper.
- Cut a 4"x5 1/2" white cardstock and stamp the flower on the stem on the upper left corner in Black ink. Stamp the daisy shoe on the lower right corner. Stamp "Too much of a good thing...!" in Black ink in between the two images.
- Color the grass and stems with 168. Color the flower petals with 111, 115, and 117. Color the flower centers with 123. Color the main part of the shoe with 123 and the dots with 111. Color the inner part of the shoe with 111, 115, and 117. Color the dragonfly wings with 251 and 123. Color the dragonfly body with 124. Color the base of the shoe with a mix of 124 and 250. Blend the colors with a wet brush, let dry.
- Mat on Grapefruit dark pink paper with 1/8" borders then again on Grapefruit black paper with 1/16" borders. Foam tape to the center of the card front.
