You Are My Favorite Flower Card
By Gail Booth
Designer Tip: Too many passes with the squeegee and the embossing paste will lose the smooth finished look. Try to do it in just 3 or 4 swipes. Keep the jar closed when not in use, or it dries quickly.
- Place a card with the fold on the top. Cover with Chalkboard ivory dot paper. Glue a 6 3/8”x4 7/8” Chalkboard green flourish paper on the center.
- Tape the stencil over a 5 1/2”x4 1/4” black cardstock, with the center of the flower 2 1/4” from the right side and 1” from the bottom. Use the squeegee to pull Copper Embossing Paste across the stencil, covering the open areas of the stencil, and swiping away the excess. Remove the stencil immediately and let your piece dry. Remember to clean the stencil quickly before the paste dries on it.
- Swipe the edges of your embossed piece with the Perfect Medium and use the provided brush to apply Gold Perfect Pearls™ to the edges. Brush off the excess. Mat on Chalkboard ivory dot paper with a 1/16” border and foam tape onto your card center. Place two crossed lengths of the black and tan twine on the left, as shown, and tuck the ends under the paper. Tie a bow of the twines at the top.
- Use the Perfect Medium to stamp “You are my Favorite” on 1 7/8”x1 1/4” black cardstock and dust with Gold Perfect Pearls™. Swipe the edges of your embossed piece with the Perfect Medium and dust with Gold Perfect Pearls™. Mat on Chalkboard ivory dot paper, then on Chalkboard green flourish paper with 1/16” borders and foam tape below the twine bow, as shown. Place Jewel Dazzles™ on the lower right corner, on the label and on the flower center.
