Designer Tip: For a really great crackle effect, paint chipboard with a heavy coat of Rock Candy Crackle and let it dry overnight.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Card Front: Dab Picked Raspberry onto a 5” Chipboard Feather and a 3” Chipboard Feather. Let Dry. Coat with a thick layer of Rock Candy Crackle and let dry completely. Cut 3”x5½” from white cardstock. Apply Mowed Lawn, Evergreen Boughs and Salty Ocean randomly to the cardstock. Using a cosmetic sponge dab to blend the colors together and let dry. Quickly apply a layer of Antique Bronze over the entire cardstock. Immediately spritz and flick water droplets over the wet paint. Dry the cardstock with a heat gun, making sure to leave the center somewhat wet and edges dry. Place a paper towel over entire cardstock to absorb remaining water and remove to reveal surface. Blend random areas with a cosmetic sponge and Dark Brown Chalk ink.
  2. Place your card with the fold on the left. Cover with Fancy Feathers border patterned paper. Cut two 3 1/2”x2” rectangles from Chalkboard teal patterned paper. Cut a “V” shape on the ends. Glue the first rectangle even with the left and ½” from the top. Glue the second rectangle flush with the right and ½” from the bottom. Cut a 5 1/2”x2” rectangle from Chalkboard white dot pattered paper and cut a “V” from on the ends. Glue centered 1¼” from the bottom. Glue the painted cardstock 5/8” from the left and ¼” from the top. Zot™ Chalkboard twine to the bottom of the painted tag. Tie a bow around the 5” feather. Zot™ feathers to the card front as shown. Place LeCreme Pearls onto the bottom right of the painted tag. Stamp “Happy Birthday” to the top right corner of the card.
  3. Card Inside: Cut 4 3/4”x6¼” from white cardstock. Repeat distress paint technique as before. Glue centered.
  4. Cut 3”x4” rectangle from Chalkboard white dot pattered paper and cut a “V” from one end. Glue centered and even with the top of the painted cardstock. Using a cosmetic sponge, dab Picked Raspberry onto “Hope your Birthday …”. Then stamp onto white cardstock and trim to 2”x2 3/4”. Foam tape centered on the Chalkboard white dot patterned paper. Place LeCreme Pearls to each corner of the painted cardstock.
