What a Lovely Day

Designer Tip: Only glue the butterfly bodies, so the wings lift off the card for a 3D effect.
- Card Front: Place your card with the fold on the left. Cover the card with black cardstock. Use Design Tool kit #1 to trace the top, bottom and right side edges of the card, leaving the left fold and cut. Glue 1” strips of Chalkboard teal, pink, gray, and white/black polka dot papers horizontally on the card, leaving 1/16” border between each. Ink the edges with a cosmetic sponge. Using the 4 Circle and 4 Scallops cutting die, cut 3 7/8” Scallop from black cardstock. Glue centered ½” from the left and ¼” from the top. Cut a 3¼” circle from Chalkboard white/black polka dot paper and glue it onto the black scallop. Stamp the butterflies border onto the bottom of the card as shown.
- Stamp 1¼” and 2” butterflies onto watercolor paper. Color with watercolor pencils 156, 131, 183. Cut out and glue inside the circle as shown. Mask “Happy” from the “What a Happy Day” stamp. Stamp onto white cardstock. Stamp “Lovely” in the place where the “Happy” would go. Stamp with small butterflies. Cut into 2¼”x1¼” rectangle and cut a “V” from the right end. Ink the edges with a cosmetic sponge and glue to the circle as shown.
- Card Inside: Mat 1¾"x4¼” Chalkboard pink patterned paper leaving a 1/8” border. Stamp with smaller butterflies. Glue 1/16” from the left and ¾" from the top. Stamp “For You” and small butterflies as shown.
