Designer Tip: To make an accordion fold, cut an acetate strip, fold in half, then fold each half in half. Keep folding as needed.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. From the “Fairy Garden” die-cut sheet, pop out and foam tape the corresponding 3-D die-cuts onto the lavender standing fairy die-cut. Save for step-4. Pop out the ladybug/flower die-cut (the “stopper”), score a horizontal line ¼” from the bottom. Mountain fold the lower tab and save for step-2.
  2. Easel card base: Pop out the daisy easel card base and place face up on your cutting mat, with the daisies at the bottom. Make a pencil mark 1½” from the bottom. Use your knife to cut a 1¼” long horizontal slit on the mark, centered on the easel card base. Insert the bottom of the saved “stopper” into the slot and glue the lower tab onto the back of the card base.
  3. Valley fold the lower scored line on the card base, folding it in half to match the card edges. Pop out the blue/green easel card topper and glue onto the bottom of the folded card base, aligning the lower edges.
  4. Score a line every 1½” along a 6”x1/2” acetate strip and accordion fold. With the first mountain fold on top, glue or tape one end of the acetate strip 1” from the top of the easel card topper. Glue or tape the other end onto the back of the saved 3-D fairy piece. Fold back the card topper to catch behind the “stopper” and the fairy will stand in front.
