Designer Tip: I like to make a puddle of color with the tip of the pencil on a palette and use that to paint the image. Then get the tip of the pencil wet to add darker outlines.

  1. Card front: Place a blank card with the fold on top. Cover with Family Ties red/black diamond paper. Glue 6½”x2½” teal tile paper across the center. Place Border Dazzles™ on the edges of the teal paper and around the edges of your card. Wrap a double length of twine around the center of your card and Zot™ the ends at the center front.
  2. Stamp the musical mice onto 5”x3¾” Ultra Smooth cardstock with VersaMark™, dust with embossing powder, shake off the excess and set with the heat gun. Use the wedge to apply brown ink around the outer edges and on the background (piano), using a circular, blending motion.
  3. Make separate puddles of color on the palette with water and the pencil tips. Use the brush to paint the image as shown. Then get the tips of the pencils wet and add darker outlines. Let dry, and ink the edges brown. Mat on white with a 1/16” border, and then on black suede with a 1/16” border. Foam tape centered on your card.
  4. Place “Celebrate!” Dazzles™ on 3”x5/8” suede and cut a “V” at the left end. Foam tape at the lower right corner of the image, folding the right end under and gluing in place. Zot™ a bow of twine at each side of the image as shown.
