"Happy Birthday" card
By LeNae Gerig
Designer Tip: Using a 1/4 wide hole punch to punch the petal cut-outs really speeds up the assembly of the pleated flowers.
- Place the card fold at the top. Cover 2/3 of the right side of the card with aqua paper. Cover the remaining left side with brown. Ink the edges of a 6"x4" yellow dot rectangle with a border on the left edge. Glue flush with the right edge of the card.
- Write "Happy Birthday" on the folder tag and glue to the lower left side of the yellow rectangle. Glue a length of blue rick rack over the bottom of the tag.
- Trace the Daphne flower onto striped paper and assemble according to template instructions. Trace and cut two Flower Centers from both aqua and brown papers. Secure centers with opposite color brads. Glue the aqua flower to the center of the flower with a length of sheer orange ribbon extending from under it. Glue the large pleated flower to the top right and the small brown to its left.
- Inside: Cover the inside of the card with aqua paper and write on the large label. Glue to the card inside back.
