We are so excited to bring you some new features to our blog. We will have project ideas, color inspirations, new techniques and much more! My name is Amy Hurley-Purdie and I’m a new designer at HOTP, and could not be more excited about sharing time with all our wonderful friends (that’s YOU!) on this blogging adventure. First a little bit about who I am and what I do. I am a wife and mother to 9 children, some of brought into this world and some I’ve been blessed with the gift of becoming their mother. Mother to many, wife to one and friend to all : ) I’ve been a designer in the scrapbooking and card industry for 16 years. I love art and creating. I love sharing that love with others. I’m a bold, sophisticated vintage gal with a note of sassy and crazy. And a pinch of Geek! I love ALL THINGS paper crafting, and my favorite thing about this hobby is that it is a hobby where strangers can come together and share their crafting stash freely, and uplift one another with encouragement through their love of art! Crafters are the best!!!
Here are some of my favorite projects that I’ve worked on lately . . .
I LOVE our new Fancy Feathers paper pack. It is so bright and beautiful with lots of jewel tone colors and whimsical feathers. I used the We-r Memory Keeper Gift Box Punch Board to create this adorable box. The rhinestones eternal swirl and Gold Pearl Feather Dazzles™ really finish it off. (instructions)
I am so excited about our new Love & 5 hearts cutting die. It is really versatile and you can create lots of different designs with it. I also used Simply Susan paper pack and Heart to Heart Greetings Stamp Set. (instructions card 1 & card 2 )
Here we have the front and inside of a card I did using the Grapefruit Paper pack, Smart and Sassy Sayings Stamp, 3 Lacy Labels Cutting Die, Bodacious Blooms cutting die (don’t even get me started about how fabulous this cutting die is!!!) and of course the Mixed Media Doll Stamp #8. I love how bright it turned out and of course it’s about one of my favorite subjects SHOES! (instructions)
Well that’s a small tidbit about me, and I can’t wait to hear more about all of your favorites too.
I look forward to blog about our shared passion in paper crafting.
