Welcome to August everyone! There is plenty to share this week! As you have probably already noticed, last week we updated the look of our website! We hope you’ll find it even easier to locate what you are looking for on our new, streamlined home page. Now, when you search our products you will have the ability to sort your search based upon price or how new the product is! We have also updated our product pages and now you can zoom in on every item! The link to our blog has moved to the blue bar at the bottom of the home page, along with a direct link to our message board, the Paper Wishes Forum! Our message board is an amazing, online community full of caring and creative people, some great projects and ideas, plus swaps and challenges!
Also, beginning this week, Amy will no longer be writing your Paper Wishes’ blog. We’ll miss her fabulous creativity and sense of humor, and we wish her all the best! As Paper Wishes’ editor and proofreader, I’ll continue to bring you all kinds of amazing, seasonal project ideas, and the very latest paper craft techniques. And fear not – I will also be sharing a brand new Design Challenge with you every month!
I’ll also be sure to give you the inside scoop on what is coming next from Paper Wishes so you will always be “in the loop!” Because trust me, there is always plenty of activity going on here at Paper Wishes!
If you enjoy challenges, be sure to click on the Straight from Paper Wishes thread at the top of the message board. This is where you will find our Monthly Design Challenge! Every month we give away a $15 Paper Wishes gift card to the member who submits the winning project! So be sure to check out the message board, and especially our Monthly Design Challenge. We would love to see you there, and your creativity could just win you $15 at Paper Wishes, and get your project featured right here in our Paper Wishes blog! For August, part of your challenge will be to create a project with an autumnal theme! I’m thinking back-to-school, I’m thinking fall leaves, and yes, I’m thinking FOOTBALL! A Seahawks card will score you bonus points! Kidding. Sort of. Click here to read more details about our August Monthly Design Challenge. Below I have added a few fall-themed projects just to set the mood! You can click on each image for a supply list and instructions.
And on a final, exciting note, I’d like to announce the big winner of our July Design Challenge, a Paper Wishes Forum regular:
Rhonda Swetlishoff of British Columbia!
Congratulations! We absolutely loved your tea-riffic, monochromatic card! The metallic blue chalk and woven organdy ribbon really added some great, luxurious touches. Thank you for sharing!
Rhonda has been paper crafting since 1999 and she says, “I find that my papercrafting has improved over the years due to all the wonderful coordinating paper and embellishments that are available at Paper Wishes. These Hot Off The Press products are hot and so fun to play with!”
Thank you so much, Rhonda! That truly means a lot to receive such wonderful feedback from members like you! Now check out her winning project, below:
As always, please feel free to share any thoughts or questions you may have in our blog comments section! We welcome your feedback!
Now – let’s all get out there and create something!
