Hot Off The Press has two booths—one has all our very latest including stamping supplies, embossing folders, cutting dies, scrapbooking papers, craft templates, Dazzles™ scrapbooking stickers and more! The second booth is packed with craft supplies priced so low, I actually had to google how to type a ‘cents’ symbol. I’m talking an entire booth of card making and scrapbooking supplies for a dollar or less with some items as low as 25¢! You never see savings like this!

Here are some of the products you will find at our booth (plus a couple bonus project ideas)! I love the Hello Ferns cutting die set, below:

Up Close Look: Nature’s Walk Artful Card Making Kit & Projects

Hopefully you’ve taken a look at your Spring 2015 Paper Wishes catalog! I wanted to spotlight one of my new favorites, Paper Wishes’ Nature’s Walk Artful Card Kit. There are so many reasons I love this Artful Card Kit! I’m a huge fan of anything inspired by nature, and obviously this one fits the bill. The papers have striking, deep tones (and that great woodgrain paper!), making this Artful Card Kit an excellent choice if you’re making a card for a guy! And there’s definitely enough “prettiness” there to make it a great choice for feminine projects too! Check out the Nature’s Walk papers (including greeting cut-outs). You can click on any image to see a larger, detailed view!

As you can see, it’s got awesome colors that give you lots of options! And as if the gorgeous papers weren’t enough, the kit includes these three sheets of incredible cardstock die-cuts…

And here are a couple of simple yet still elegant cards that you can create with this kit. The card below also makes use of the Paper Artist™ Wind & Waves Embossing Folder, which adds an interesting, textured background for our sweet pair of deer.

And here is a card from Ann that I like simply because it shows you what a stunning card you can create just from the Artful Card Kit components and a bow. Beautiful, coordinated and fool-proof. I love it!

Don’t miss out!
  • Webisode! Tuesday we have a brand new webisode with Paulette, Gail and projects featuring Dee’s Distinctively Secret Garden Cutting Dies! Happy Valentine’s Day from Paper Wishes!

Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, and I wanted to show you a Valentine-esque card that could also work year-round for other occasions! And I’ve found an awesome card to share. Many of you will already be familiar with the Paper Artist™ 12 Flower Frenzy cutting dies and now Hot Off The Press has just released a coordinating Flower Frenzy stamp set! LeNae has combined both to create this extra sweet “Hello Card,” below. And wow, these flowers really pack a punch!

LeNae die cut her flowers from Hot Off The Press’ Hopscotch Double-sided Scrapbooking Papers which honestly, I find to be an interesting choice. Hopscotch papers are super bright, cheerful and fun! They don’t scream “make me a flower” and yet they are an outstanding choice, giving the card more of a playful look. That’s what I love about the Paper Wishes Design Team – they are always doing something unexpected! Check out the Swinging Heart in the center… it swivels as the recipient opens the card. So fun!

While I think this card is just perfect for someone special on Valentine’s Day, it would be appropriate for all kinds of other occasions. And by happy coincidence, the Flower Frenzy stamp set comes with flower images AND greetings and sentiments for your cards, making it easy to customize your cards and projects. Here are the cutting dies and stamps:

This card is one of the projects from January’s Stamps Only! Personal Shopper Kit. If you are a stamper always looking for the latest and greatest, I would strongly urge you to check out our monthly Stamps Only! Personal Shopper Monthly Kits. Each month you can have the latest stamps and new techniques sent right to your front door and shipping is free!

Paper Wishes Highlights:

  • Our webisode next week features even more stamping fun! Paulette and Gail will be showing you Hot Off The Press’ very latest silicone stamp sets along with some amazing project ideas!
  • Be on the lookout for the latest Paper Wishes catalog – it’s arriving in home this week! If you haven’t received yours, you can also browse our Online Catalog!
  • The countdown to Monday Madness has started!!! Starting on Monday, February 23rd, Paper Wishes will be bringing you a whole new way to save! Don’t miss it!

I hope you love this week’s project as much as I do! Love is the theme this weekend, so indulge in whatever makes you feel loved! Whether you spend some extra time with the family, consume a healthy ration of dark chocolate or simply break out the stamps and scissors, have a great weekend and keep creating!

Paper Wishes Blog Back From Maternity Leave!

Hello again! Let me start off by apologizing for the lack of recent posts! I assure you though, I have a great excuse. And here she is…

Aida Violet

Aida Violet

Yes, the Paper Wishes blog went on maternity leave over the holidays, as I had my third baby girl who is just the sweetest, happiest baby ever! Now that I am back at Paper Wishes (albeit with baby on the brain), I’d like to share a couple of baby-themed projects!

This first scrapbook page has a great, clean look, and I love that it is simple enough to finish in an evening (or less)—win! LeNae used the appropriately-named Sew Cute Paper Pack along with Hot Off The Press’ Easy Circles Template to create her background. The baby rattle embellishment is from Hunkydory’s Little Rattles Card Kit, and then the page is finished off with a few Dazzles™—they add the perfect amount of sparkle!

LeNae’s card below is another baby-themed favorite of mine! She used Stampendous’ Happy Hopper “Bunny Love” stamp and has beautifully colored her little rabbits with Spectrum Noir™ pens, a favorite product here at Paper Wishes! The paper is from our Kindred Spirits Double-Sided Paper Pack. I used this same stamp to create Thank You cards after my baby shower, and I was really impressed with the fine detail.

This last card is my baby-favorite because it’s actually the card I received from my awesome and thoughtful coworkers here at Paper Wishes! Sorry, no instructions for this one. After joining the Paper Wishes team last year, it has been my good fortune to be surrounded by people who are not just talented and creative, but caring too! During my pregnancy, not a day passed without people stopping by my office to ask how baby and I were doing (and telling me to hurry back)! Well, I am back and definitely ready for a brand new year full of incredible papercrafting projects and techniques.

Paper Wishes Highlights

  • Our webisode this coming Tuesday combines two things I love—paper and cupcakes! Paulette and Gail will show you how to create adorably-packaged, homemade cupcakes in professional-looking wrappers and boxes for your friends and family. They will be so impressed—don’t miss this one!
  • February 9th–15th Paper Wishes is offering a Valentine’s coupon good for 20% off your highest priced item! Enter promo code SWEET2015 at checkout starting Monday (valid Monday through Sunday only). There will also be a FREE Valentine’s download—how sweet!

This year, Paper Wishes is working on even more new ways to elevate your creative skills. I’m so excited for what’s to come, so make sure you stay tuned for updates.

Take care, and as always—keep creating!
