Under The Sea

Hello everyone! I spent my morning playing with Hunkydory 50 Shades of Mirri-Ombre cardstock. There are so many uses, but here’s just one:

I used the wood panel paper from Seaside Paper Pack and made a porthole by using copper Mirri-Ombre cardstock and nesting circles from 8 Circles And Scallops Cutting Dies. I used a 1/4″ hole punch to make porthole rivets and the Seahorse Cutting die cut from orange/yellow Mirri-Ombre cardstock. A simple greeting from Heartfelt Greetings Stamp Set did the trick. I die cut seaweed from purple/aqua cardstock and added some green and blue Party Time sequins for sparkle!

The Under The Sea Clear Stamp Set is filled with adorable sea creatures that I colored with Spectrum Noir™ ColourBlend™ Pencils-Naturals. To continue my Under the Sea theme I added drops of Crystal Lacquer. Once dry I think they look just like water drops!

For the card background I used the surfaces of blue and green inkpads from Rain Forest Pigment Ink Pads and a strip of scrap paper with a torn edge. I placed the torn edge along the card top and applied blue ink with a swirl motion and then placed the torn edge along the bottom of the card and used a moss green ink pad.

That’s all for today! Don’t miss our Week Of Webisodes featuring paper crafts from Hunkydory all week long!

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!

I love both of these cards! Especially the first one because I just got that seahorse die. What a great idea to make the porthole. I’m going to copy your card LeNae, it’s wonderful! Thanks so much for the inspiration.
