Default hunkydory card kit instructions

I just love the look of the hunky-dory sets, but I am sure you are supposed to do something with them besides just ooh and aah over the pretty papers. There are some of the die cuts that have little squares inside them, to be punched out, and I don't know WHAT to do with that. Does anyone know of any tutorials besides the ones used to sell the product, that could show more ways of using these gorgeous papers. I really want to play with these, but I want to use all the pretty things in the kits. thanks in advance.

Katie I have the same problem. I love the workmanship they are so very pretty, but I have no clue what to do with them, as you said, except for the show tutorial. I have three sets and they are sitting in my file just looking pretty. I also would love to see some tutorials..LEW

I have probably made 60 to 70 of them so far for Thank You notes, Birthday, Thanksgiving/Fall, and Christmas. Sometimes there are the books to reference, you tube, and the packaging. I just wing it. The nice thing about the sets, to me, is there may be a picture but you can do what you like to really glam it up or stretch out a kit to make so many more cards. There are tons and tons of extra bits if you like that and I do. Try checking out you tube and facebook. Hope you have fun with it though and enjoy all those extra's!

There are some card project using the Hunkdory kits on Paper Wishes that will get you started. I have been working on the "Magical Christmas" set and having a lot of fun. First I made the Papier Tole snowman with all of the wonderful layers. But there was a lot of lovely card stock left over from that set of card stock plus the paper that came along with pictures and greetings. So I started fiddling around with that and came up with 2 more snowman cards. I still have some lovely foiled card stock left from the snowman set and I will get another card from that.

I find it's more fun to come up with my own ideas than it is to just follow instructions. That's why I gave up on the monthly card kits after a couple of years. I still have most of the last kit I received still not finished.

Paperwishes has done quite a few webisodes on hunkydory kits. I would suggest searching the webisode archive for hunkydory and see what comes up. They might not have that exact kit, but I'm sure you'll get some great ideas that you can use with it.

I don't have any of these kits, but I just went to YouTube and searched for "HunkyDory Cardmaking" and there are a bunch of videos one of them using the butterfly sorbet kit. I don't know if that is your kit, but it might be of help.

Hope this helps, have fun and post some pics when you are done!

The butterflies are to be separated and stacked on top of each other with foam tape beginning with the largest at the bottom and the smallest on top, matching the picture, just like in papier tole. See example below. Hope this helps
