Renee, both cards are beautiful. I really love the colours you chose, so pretty together.

I sit down periodically with my stash of paper scraps - even the irregular ones - and then run them through the various EFs I have - I signed up for HSN's Anna Griffin collection, so I have a slew of them now. I take the embossed stash and then I put them in a CLEAR plastic container so I can see them. I have found I remember to use them way more often doing it this way. Because the papers are often smaller than card size, sometimes I make a homemade 'paper tole' with them by layering the smaller size onto a full cut card size - makes for a really fast card, or pre-cut them into flower and leaf shapes before I emboss. It can make the same card look quite different using them this way, and the stress of creating goes away - it's just a fun day playing.

Great idea, using scraps and your EFs. I love the folders, but seldom use them, I need to work on that!

I agree with Penny, that is a terrific idea. I, too, have a lot of EFs and always forget to use them. I love the look they give on cards and pages. I'll make that a new goal for myself to utilize them more often. Thanks for the tip.

I just saw the latest Summer 2014 Webisode and signed up for the EFPS. So many fun ideas to try. I didn't expect the embossed pattern to show very well on holographic paper so I tried it out, stuck a die cut Happy Birthday and - WOW. Really fast and pretty. Need to find more craft time to try out the layered toilet paper techniques.

Embossing folders also work great on tags - just cut and emboss off-side or just the bottom, then write your message on the un-embossed area (or Dazzle it)
