Default May Week 3 Technique Challenge - Due Saturday May 17

Another one of the blogs I follow is Dina Kowal's blog - she does amazing watercolor work and is now one of the designers for Impression Obsession. A few weeks ago she had this technique on her blog and I just had to try it! You can use a diecut or Dazzle word for this technique - I cut a few words on my Silhouette.

You can either choose a center point below or above the word and draw lines from that point or do a diagonal view. I've done one of each in my examples and Dina demonstrates both in her video (link provided).

Give it a try of course, with your Paper Wishes products. Let's see what you come up with!

Here is the link to the demo video.

I really like the bicycle - how did you get the white dots so perfect? Looks like you did a lot of paper piecing on it - great job !

Splitcoast Stampers had this as a tutorial a couple of weeks ago and I have been practicing it, certainly is a striking look!

Penny - I saw the tutorial on SCS and wasn't sure if it was something I wanted to attempt but now that I've been challenged I guess I'll have to try it.

Carol I'm not sure I understand what white dots? If you're talking about the border it's a border sticker...The bicycle itself is a papier tole piece.

Really nice job Daria. I love the dimension on all your lettering. It is a wonderful challenge Nancy. I hope I get a few minutes to come and play. They are doing roofing, (which is now completed), siding and windows on my home so things have been a little crazy!!

Daria, love your cards.
Nancy, great tech challenge. I'm traveling a lot this month and next, but I hope to get a chance to try this technique.

Daria, great job! You are on fire with all these challenges! I particularly like the effect you did on the love. I love the look of it not all being colored in - made it very striking.
