I have my cuttlebug that I love and I got the cricut expressions 2 which I like but haven't mastered the shadows and layers etc. And now that they have the explore it is even harder to find out stuff about mine. I do like it but have figured out that I can either cut stuff on the cricut or make cards. I can't do both at the same time. So I can play with my cricut and hope when I am papercrafting I have something already cut out. And its even worse if i have to be hooked up to the computer to cut stuff out. I mostly don't like to have to include my computer in my crafting if I can avoid it. It's not restful.

Cricut E2=I love all my cricut machines
Cricut Imagine=This is my favorite especially if I have large projects to do
Cricut Cake= used it once, it went very well, I am not a big baker
Cricut Mini=Christmas present from my son, going to take it to crops
Brother Scan n Cut = l love it. I bought it so I do not have to fussy cut anymore of my stamped images. Works great!

Just wondering on the scan and cut - do you stamp and color the image and it recreates it and cuts it, or? My hand spasmed at the thought of no more fussy cutting - would it work to make images to put my Dazzles on?

Robn - Can't say for sure, don't know how much the machine has changed. I still have one of the original ones.

I feel behind the times...I only have 3 machines:
I started with a personal Cricut. I have lots of cartridges but rarely use it anymore.
Then I got a Texture Boutique and use it quite often when I just want to emboss.
Then came the Sizzix Big Shot that I love and use nearly every day. I added the magnetic platform a few months ago and love it, too.

With the ScanNCut you can stamp your image and then scan it to cut or
you can stamp, color and then cut if you want to do it that way. You can also tell the machine to leave a border around the image, or cut the image only. This is a fabulous machine, you do not need a computer at all to use it. If you want to use a computer I hear there is a free cloud program where you can use svg files. You tube has tons of videos on this machine. I will never fussy cut anything again. You can use your dazzles also, just remember to have contrast from your image you are scanning and the mat. I hope this helps, if not you can pm me and I will place a phone call to explain better.

Daria....the Brother machine is easy. I have not read the instruction booklet as of yet. My first die cutter, that I did not list, was the Wishblade. You needed a computer
had --troubles with that. The ScanNcut does not need a computer and it has prloaded images in the file. I have Cricuts and all the carts so I only purchased the Brother machine so I will never fussy cut stamped images again. There are two models for the Brother, 1 has 500 images and the 2nd one has 700 images. I have the 700 images, did get a great deal on that machine. This machine is great for any quilters also. It cuts fabrics and has preloaded quilt images to use. You can take your PW paper downloads and scan them and then tell the machine to cut them out---fantastic! I hope this helps.
