Nancy, You've certainly been an inspiration to me. I've been thinking about getting serious about losing weight ever since you first posted, then I had a very big scare over the past 3 weeks, first with my liver, then my kidneys started crashing. The doc said, "lose weight or else!" That gave me some added incentive. Now I'm on my way to Onederland as well. 39 pounds to go (my kidney and liver numbers are almost back to normal!). Watching your progress has helped me realize that this is an attainable goal.

Wow Judy, what a post! You did have a scare! Keep up the good and important effort, and get back to good health.

Linda glad to hear your numbers are looking better. We overweight people get so frustrated with doctors who seem to blame everything on weight. And I know at least for me I started not hearing. It was like that Charlie Brown's teacher voice "Wah ..." But a lot IS related to weight. I had a terrible chronic cough. So bad that there were complaints at work and they asked me to start working from home! Guess what - cough is gone!! And all that changed was my weight!

Gained 2.5 but today is a new day and you have inspired me to get back on the right track. My goal is to cut out junk food, most of my sugar and drink more water.

If you jump right in after getting back from vacation those couple of pounds should come off quickly..
