Default Happy Labor Day!

So, Inquiring minds...or maybe just one mind...wants to know how you spent the last summer vacation day?

My DH and I spent a lovely day yesterday with an incredible family at their campsite. We met up with Linda H, her DH and son and brand new DIL. They were wonderful, gracious hosts that went out of their way to make us feel welcome and even with my strict diet made sure that I had something good to eat. We had a great time together and it was nice to finally meet Linda!

Picture 1 is the four of us together (unfortunately we realized that we didn't get a picture of the newlyweds

Picture 2 is Linda and myself

Picture 3 in Mark cooking dinner and it was yummy!

Not my idea of fun Sam and if you find that your freezer has a bad odor from spoiled food put some unbrewed coffee grounds in a bowl and stick it in the freezer. It will remove the odor. You may have to do it a few time but it really works! I speak from experience.

Why hi Darcia and Linda! Looks like you had a fun time. We, Hubby and me, are doing nothing. He is making a ham that we had in the freezer, i have some work clothes of his to do then gonna either play in my craft room or read. Legs and back are hurting pretty good today. We got a new craft store in DuBois called PAT CATAN. Been there and have found some blades for my Martha Stewart cutting board. Love this store. Will be going back again and again lol.

Laundry - cleaning house - getting ready to go back to work tomorrow. Nothing exciting here - sounds like camping would be fun!!

Thanks Daria - we used to do that to stinky sea containers...and of course you know the bad guys try to fool drug-sniffing dogs by putting illicit drugs in with lots of coffee...

Thinking of you all on this Labour Day weekend. We camped and just arrived home today. TFS your photos Daria & Linda. It is always so nice to meet MB peeps IRL. Sam, good luck with your clean up, I hope that you didn't get hit too badly.

I got outside for half hour , did some cleanup gardening of perennials. Last night hubby took me for long drive, so relaxing thru countryside. Its unusually cool here for September but I find that pleasant , as long as we dont get early snow LOL

Wow, thanks for posting the pics, Daria. And for making the heroic effort to come visit us. It was just so, so great to have that time with you and Jim. You are just 2 of the nicest, most genuine, caring people I have ever known! I am really glad the meal worked out... It was simple, but nothing is simple when you are camping, rain and all.
So, as Daria said, my DH, DS and DDIL spent 4 nights in Little Pine State Park in the NOT Grand Canyon of PA. I guess I have more research and another trip to plan in order to see that, LOL. Thought that is where we were going to be based on descriptions, but NOT. WE HAD A GREAT TIME, THOUGH.
