Default hot glue guns

I am in need of buying a new glue gun and wondering do you have a favorite? and why do you like it?

I would like a finer tip for more delicate work. My sister gave my the Adtech 2 temp but it did not last very long and just 'blew- up' sitting here on my desk in a flash of flame and puff of smoke ! Scared the life out of me ! I see Surebonder now is offering a mini detail gun with an insulated nozzle that has pretty good reviews on Amazon. I had one of their detail guns before a couple of years ago , it did not work and leaked out the centre badly, They replaced it but the replacement did same thing. The nozzle would clog/ glue did not stay hot in the nozzle... maybe they have now reinvented it. I still have a cheap $ store mini gun but so messy as it leaks continuously.

That is a good question and I don't have a good answer. I so very rarely use a hot glue gun that my cheapy ones work just fine for me. I used one for clear glue and one for colored glue.

I think the one that I really liked came from Wal-Mart. Its sort of got walked off with. I haven't one like it since. I have one from the $ store and it works ok but doesn't get hot much. Judi

I always buy the cheap one from the local hobby store, then when I need glue stick refills, I am unable to locate the right shape and end up buying another new one to get the NEW sticks... frustrating. So NO advice here. Good luck and let us know if you find something you like.

I ordered a Surebonder mini hot glue gun, and am liking it. The tip is finer than the usual mini guns and working OK, has On/Off switch too. Got it on Amazon.ca, sure would be on .com site too....
