Question How do I make my photo smaller?

I've tried to upload my picture and PW message board won't accept it. I suppose that it is too big?

I have Adobe; how do I go about making the photo small so that I can upload it?

Thanks!

If you are using Adobe Photoshop or Elements try this:

On the menu bar click Image > Image Size...

Enter in a smaller number into the width box, try 900 pixels. It should automatically re-size the height to match the proportions.

Then go to File > Save for Web & Devices...

On the right menu within that dialog box, choose JPEG and set the quality as you see fit. I would try 70. Click Save.

Then try uploading your new file.

Let me know if this doesn't work or something is way different than I described.

PIXresizer is a free utility that makes resizing photos easy - it resizes everything in a directory at once, so if you have several photos to resize . . .

I have also had these experiences with Photobucket exasperating and abandoned. I just added some pictures after the ceremony and did it this way. My program is running Windows XP. I have my photos stored in My Documents / My Pictures. I chose the photographs and the envoys of myself. By submitting a window asks "Do you want to do", these small pictures (Yes) when the size of email archiving is reduced automatically. Save the photos attached to e-mail Back to my documents. Pictures of more than 3 million pixels will be emailed and saved two times to reduce small enough to write. It is the only way to get pictures posted so far, but it worked.

Most PCs have Microsoft Picture Editor on them. If you have that you can use it to reduce the size physically as well as the resolution.
