Default December Designer Sketch Challenge 2013

December Designer Sketch Challenge 2013

Who can play:
Everyone is invited to play with us! These challenges are meant to be fun and inspire creativity! Measurements aren’t provided, because we want you to have “some” creative freedom.

You can substitute the flower shape, but I’ve included the pattern of the flower along with the pennant pattern for both small and large size.

Create a card or a scrapbook page, this way we have something for everyone. Winner will receive a $15.00 gift certificate. You can enter more then once.

Some basic rules..

• Paper Wishes materials:
Please use Hot Off The Press materials such as Dazzles™, Papers, stamps, templates, artful card kits, embossing folders, cutting dies and papier tole. Embellishments, glitter, flowers, ribbons etc. aren’t required to be exclusively from Paper Wishes™.

• List of products:
We understand that we have things in our craft stashes that we may no longer have the original packaging to know where the product came from. Please choose your products according and keep in mind the list of products is required. We want to be fair to those that do list all of their products.

Materials such as Zots™, Glue, Heating tools, acrylic blocks (basic tools) aren’t required to be listed.

Post your project by:
Friday, December 27, 2013. Projects entered after the date, will not be eligible for the contest.

Winner will be announced:

~ Also if you have any problems with the files, please email me directly at cchavez@hotp.com.

Let me know if you have any questions! Good Luck

Here's my entry. All patterned and glimmer papers but white cardstock came from Masculine Sarapapers. I used pearl champagne embossing powder from the Gold Encrusted Jewel kit. I didn't have enough gold glimmer paper to mat the larger pieces, so I used an embossing pen to coat the edges of the PP and heat embossed. I forgot to list the Plain and Simple ABC stamps for my son's name. The gold brad is from one of the PW collections - I think it was the Christmas PS - I had it on my craft table when I did this LO

I took some liberty with the sketch, but the circles didn't work for this layout. The flags on the bottom read honor, courage and commitment, the Core Values of the Navy.

What a wonderful page, Penny. Every thing is centered on the photo but still calls attention to each element. Wish I had some of your talent. Judi

Default Dec Designer Sketch Challenge

I was playing with gold EB and decided to try the sketch design. I used the Sunshine and Shadows papers on black cardstock, the Circle & Scallops die and the Heart to Heart stamps. I substituted stacked stars for the flower, cutting the rippled gold paper with the 5 point star die (#4007435).
