I was thinking of a child's birthday card for the first one too, Nancy. My middle granddaughter's birthday is in a couple weeks.

I think that maybe if I had removed the template before painting, I would have had cleaner lines. The template seemed to grab the color and pull it underneath if that makes sense. I'm not up to trying it again with that template, though. There is a limit to my patience! lol

Nice Judy. I at least like the color combos. I am really thinking hard about colored pencils though... I have another idea but they are not PW... That is what is holding me back.

Default ombre technique week 3

I used the 6x6 mini spring fling template (only one I could find besides plain dots--lol)
For the 1st one: Distress inks to craft mat and spritzed then brushed on with foam brush. Colors;milled lavendar, spun sugar, and picky raspberry.
For the 2nd one: Glimmer mist sprays (too wet). colors: vintage pink, red velvet, and fully purple.
For the 3rd one: Colorbox pigment inks direct to paper. Colors: cupcake pink, buble gum, and violet.

Nice job, Ruthie. I think I like the direct to paper one best, but they would all make good backgrounds.

Pretty Colorado combos. Looks like you had the same problem on the first one with the Colorado getting under the template.

I like the direct to paper #3 the best, but nice job. That designed would make a very pretty background piece.

OK. I figured out what to do with the first background. My granddaughter's birthday is in a couple weeks, so I made this card for her. I painted it with the same watercolor pencils I used for the background.
Have I mentioned that I love this stamp set?

PJ, I think you'll have fun using your challenge pieces for cards, WTG
