Default Mother's snowflakes

I don't know what thread it was in that I spoke about my Mom's snowflakes. She passed away this past May and I decided to share her snowflakes with our family. She made me so many over the past couple years that I was able to send out about 35 to everyone and keep a bunch for us too. She worked so hard on them that I wanted to preserve them for as long as I could. I sprayed them all with Krylon de acidification spray and then laminated them with Purple Cows laminator. Some one kindly asked to see them and I couldn't load the pix for some reason. So here is one of my Mom's gorgeous snowflakes .

Awesome! Did she hand cut these from paper? What a treasure they must be. I framed my Mom's last doily she crocheted for me. It was amazing that when I was preparing it to frame, I found that she had captured one of the strands of her beautiful long gray hair into the project, so I left it there. It really is a treasure to me..
Thanks for sharing.
God bless
Nyoka

Thanks, everyone. And yes she would just sit looking intensely at her folded paper and bifocals practically meeting at the tip of her nose and trim away all her worries. My favorite one was a surprise I recently found in a Christmas carol book in the shape of a Christmas tree. She must have made it when she was still running the heart and neuro team at her old hospital. The back had the surgery schedule on it . Must have been a really hard day in the OR to make such a big and impressive snowflake. I am very lucky to have them and to have been able to share them with the ones she loved.

Wow - they are a treasure and beautiful to boot! I would have a hard time putting them away in the spring!
