Arrow Inspired by challenge #2, May 2014

Good morning! Our second Inspired By challenge is featuring Ruth (aka pjmeemaw)! Ruth doesn't have an album here, but I'm going to send you to her Pinterest board for inspiration.

Looking at her cards I noticed that she likes shaped cards and cards with different folds. She has all different types of cards from steampunk to elephants and everything in between. She also makes cards for specific people - check out her dairy and Mario cards. Don't miss the grand piano card too - way cool!

I didn't pick a specific card for my samples, but went with the theme of shaped or fancy folds and made 2 cards. I used the Honeysuckle Artful Card kit and ribbons for both cards.

The first card is a shaped easel card. I used one of the label punch outs from the kit for my shaped piece. I wasn'[t sure it was going to work since I've never tried it, but it came out wonderfully. Good news, PW is now carrying Wink of Stella pens! Hard to see in the photo but I added glitter to the border and parts of the bee.

The second card is a tri-shutter card (the first one I have made!) I used the Paper Doll stamp set for the focal and sentiments. Colored the doll with alcohol inks and paper pieced her dress along with a little Wink of Stella for highlighting. The "live out loud" stamps came from a set that was so old (not PW) the stamps fell apart when I took them off the block.

Please, check out Ruth's board and make a card to post here, be sure to tell us what inspired you.

Thanks Ruth, your cards are beautiful!

Ruth - Beautiful cards...I loved the Iris Folding shoe and purse. Where did you get the pattern? I would love to make one for my daughter's birthday. She's into shoes. Really, really into shoes. One day she asked me why I needed more PW supplies and I told her the same reason she needed another pair of shoes. She understood immediately.

Thank you! I enjoyed doing that one, too. I believe that cut out was from CreationsbyDedra.com
