Yes you'll find yourself taking some pictures just because they'd make a great page! Itmakes you look at your pictures totally differently!

That is so true Nancy - and I just bought a wood-mounted stamp (like I need more stamps) just because it will work so well with pics from Mike's Tail of the Dragon ride...

Congrats to our two winners, awesome! Hopefully next year we will have a lot more players for the scrapbooking events! The more players, the better the prizes, LOL!!!

Both pages are wonderful. I don't scrapbook that much and I wanted to enter but the sketches were a little intimidating to me. If it is a black and white sketch do you have to do all the gray places in the same color as the sketches. I am not sure how closely you have to follow and if you have to use as many different papers as it appears on the sketch?

Robin, don't be intimidated! Sketches are just kind of guidelines for the layout - you use whatever colors/patterns/embellishments etc you want, generally arranged as per the sketch. The different shades/shapes etc. are just for differentiation - so if a sketch shows a big flower, YOUR interpretation could be something else in that spot! Some folks follow the sketches exactly, some use them as a starting point for their creation and often the end result is a bit different. We just want you to join in and have fun!

Great question Robin. I generally don't enter sketch challenges because I don't know how much flexibility is built in. I am not very good at sticking to a sketch, to begin with... But then I also often do not like the many many layers that sketches often use. I also have trouble using primarily PW for sketches because all their paper is patterned and I really like the clean simple look I get with card stock. Don't get me wrong, I own every single pack of pp PW sells... I just have difficulty working with ONLY that for these MB projects.

Nancy and Daria,
Paper Wishes is on FB and Pinterest... You should post your winning layouts there! Point people back to the MB and the NSD activities here.

And Linda -- MB projects require you use products available from PW, not necessarily PW/HOTP branded products only! And PW carries tons of cardstock and other papers in solid colors as well....

Every time I look thru the MB I see this thread and I smile as I think back to how much fun we had that day. It was pretty intense to make designer quality layouts with the time limit and randomly assigned themes. Lots of fun though! Thanks again Sam, Penny, and Nancy AND PW for making that day possible!
