Default October Design Challenge

“Trick or Treat!”

October is finally here, so get ready for a new Monthly Design Challenge!!! October’s Design Challenge is for you to create your wildest folded or shaped card (if you’d like to create a page instead, please incorporate some sort of folded or shaped paper elements). I think these types of cards are SO fun to create with their extra WOW factor… So think Easel cards, Gatefold cards, Waterfall cards, Box cards, Shutter cards, Pop-Up cards, Circle cards… anything with an extra-unique shape! There is tons of inspiration out there and I can’t wait to see the amazing projects you ladies come up with! If you have any of Paper Wishes’ card making templates, this is a great chance to use those as well!

Let’s also keep this festive and create either a Halloween card or a Christmas/holiday card!

I’ve included a sketch, but as always, feel free to interpret loosely or take your own approach. Especially this month where (hopefully) everyone’s card might have very different shapes! Have fun with this one!!!

Some Basic Rules:

1. Everyone is welcome to participate in our challenge! These challenges are meant to be fun and inspire creativity. Measurements aren’t provided, because we want you to have some creative freedom! Feel free to create a card, a scrapbook page, or your other favorite paper craft project!

2. Please use primarily Hot Off The Press materials (such as Dazzles™, papers, stamps, templates, artful card kits, embossing folders, cutting dies and paper tole). Embellishments and accents, including glitter, flowers, ribbons, etc. aren’t required to be exclusively from Paper Wishes™.

3. You can enter more then once.

4. Please list your products for us. It lets us know what you like, and lets others know what you've used so they can make their own inspired version. We understand that we all have things in our craft stashes that may no longer have the original packaging. Please choose your products accordingly, and keep in mind that the list of products is required. We want to be fair to those that do list all of their products.

The monthly winner will receive a $15.00 gift certificate to Paper Wishes, and will have their project featured in our Paper Wishes Blog!

Post your project by:
Friday, October 31st, 2014

Projects entered after the date will not be eligible for the contest.

Winner will be announced:
Monday, November 3rd, 2014

Beautiful, Daria. Never ending cards are so fun - particularly if you give them to kids - they think you are a genius!

Fab, I don't know if you realized that that is only one card with many faces.

Thanks for the compliment,
Daria

Penny - one of the ones I also like is the Secret Message card. Still can't figure out how it works and kids get such a kick out of it. So do a lot of adults.

Enjoy your day,

While I was looking at Teresa's Amazing Folded Cards CD I came across this card and thought I'd give it a try. It turned out much better than I anticipated so I decided to post it here. The images in this post will be the front and the inside standing up. I will post the images of the inside in another post because of the number of pictures. Products used:
1. Teresa's Amazing Folded Card CD
2. Red and White card stock, Christmas Sweets papers
3. Janie's Christmas Kids and Christmas Phrases stamps
4. Red, Green and Gold Stickles
5. Christmas Decorate with, Red Nutcracker, Gingerbread, Red Jewel, Winter Stocking and Mittens Mix Em, Mix Em Holly and Mix Em Ornament dazzles
6. Crystal Laquer
7. Easy Layered Ribbon Banners template
8. 4 Circels & 4 Scallops cutting die
9. Red Gross Grain Ribbon
10. Christmas Sweets free download

Enjoy your day,
Daria
