“Happy Anniversary” — By Shauna Berglund-Immel

Designer Tip: The foil sheets are used to cover monograms here, but they can also be used with adhesive rub-ons for quick sentiments with a touch of shine!

Instructions
For the Card Front:

  1. Place the card with the fold on the left and trim 7/8" off the bottom edge of the card front.
  2. Glue two 1/2"-wide strips of black/red striped paper even with the top and bottom edges of the card front. Cut a 5" square of words from the black words paper. Mat the top and bottom edges on red textured paper, trim the mats to 1/16" and ink the edges. Glue the matted square centered on the card front, then ink the edges of the card front.
  3. Ink the edges of a 1/4"-wide strip of striped paper and glue it across the top of the black words paper. Stamp the script pattern on a large ivory silk flower, then Zot™ the flower to the left end of the strip. Stamp or write on the small black “remember” tag and punch a hole in the tab. Run a length of floss through the hole, then through the holes on a large black button. Zot™ the button in the center of the flower and glue the tag in place on the card front.
  4. Punch a heart shape in the bottom right corner of the black words paper, through all layers of the card front.
  5. Stamp “happy” on ivory textured paper and crop with extra space to the left and right. Ink the edges and add a black brad to each end of the strip. Glue the word at an angle across the punched heart area.

For the Card Inside:

  1. Cover the card inside with red textured paper and ink the edges. Stamp the script pattern repeatedly to cover the bottom of the card inside.
  2. Ink the edges of a 1/4"-wide strip of striped paper and glue it across the top of the card inside. Glue the heart you punched from the card front to the right end of the strip. Run embroidery floss through a small red button and Zot™ the button in the center of the flower.
  3. Stamp “anniversary” on ivory textured paper and crop with extra space to the left and right. Ink the edges and add a black brad to each end of the strip. Glue the word to the card inside so it's directly behind the “happy” word strip when the card is closed.
