“Merry Christmas” — By LeNae Gerig

Designer Tip: Haven't started your holiday cards yet? After making this sleek, elegant Christmas card, combine the same layout with the rest of your Christmas papers and overlays to create dozens of cards in no time!

Supplies:

For the Card Front:

  1. Cut the card to a 5" square. Cover the card front with red allover flourish paper and ink the edges.
  2. Ink the edges of a 2"x4 5/8" piece of green dotted paper, then glue vertically 1/2" from the fold and even with the top edge of the card.
  3. Crop the overlay to 3 1/2"x2 3/4". Cut a 4"x2 3/4" piece of green with flourish paper, cutting it from the flourish portion, then ink the edges. Layer the overlay even with the left edge of the green with flourish piece, adding a gold mini brad to the center of the overlay flower to secure the overlay in place. Glue 3/4" from the top edge and even with the right edge of the card. Knot a 5" length of burgundy sheer ribbon and trim the tails at an angle. Use a Glue Dot™ to secure the knot over the left edge of the overlay.
  4. Glue the "Merry Christmas" border overlay across the bottom of the card, trimming any excess even with the edges of the card.

For the Card Inside:

  1. Cover the inside of the card with the diamond grid portion of the green with flourish paper. Glue the red flourish tag in the top left corner of the card, then glue the "cheer" tile centered on the tag.
