Dance — By: LeNae Gerig

Supplies:

Designer Tip: LeNae used a combination of ink pads and colorful chalk to create coordinating ephemera cut-outs for this mini album layout. Techniques like inking, chalking and tearing help carry the background paper's distressed vintage effect throughout the page.

Instructions

  1. Place the striped flourish paper with the flourish running across the top and down the right side. Ink the edges of a vertical photo, then mat on teal textured paper, trim to 1/8" and ink the edges. Glue the matted photo over the left side of the page.
  2. Glue the backside of the file folder cut-out in the bottom right corner of the page. Ink the edges of the “dance” ephemera and accent the word “dance” with teal chalk. Glue at an angle with the bottom edge tucked inside the file folder. Tear out the “bliss” ephemera and ink the edges. Glue over the front of the file folder and add a paper clip to the right edge. Glue the front of the file folder in place.
  3. Tear out the “fun” ephemera and accent with teal chalk. Glue at angle above the “dance” ephemera. Tear out the “joy” ephemera and chalk the edges brown. Fold 1 1/2" of ribbon in half and staple the folded end behind the left end of the ephemera. Foam tape “joy” above the “fun” ephemera.
