5 individuals, 1 family — By: Laura Nicholas

Designer Tip: Connect the background pages by cutting the circles in half, and then using half on each page. Add extra dimension by embellishing the layered circles with brads and stitching.

Supplies:

Instructions

  1. Cut the striped paper and circle papers into 6" strips. Glue the papers to the white cardstock to fill the 12"x12" pages. Trace and cut an 11 1/2" circle on yellow glimmer paper, and trace and cut an 8" circle on green texture paper. Cut out the circles and ink the edges. Cut out the center of the green circle, glue it to the glimmer circle and cut it in half. Glue the circle to the background pages along the inside edges.
  2. Cut the purple paper to 6 1/4"x12". Crop the photos to 3 3/4" wide, glue to purple strip and then attach the strip to the left background page. Cut a corner of purple paper and add to the top corner of the page.
  3. Glue the center of the green circle on the lower right side of the right background page. Trim the excess even with the page. Mat a photo with the remaining purple paper and glue it over the green circle. Tuck a strip of purple paper under the glimmer circle, and glue a photo to the edge of the page to continue the strip across the page.
  4. Use the template stitching guide to edge the yellow circle. Then use the template to space the brads around the center of the green ring. Use the needle to poke holes in the stitching and hand sew brown twine around the edge of the glimmer circle.
  5. Print journaling on white cardstock, trim and glue under the photos on the left page. Cut out a tag and add a pink brad to the top. Glue "1" to the tag and foam tape "family" over the number. Foam tape the tag to the right background page. Complete the title by adding "5" and then "individuals" foam taped over it, to the left page. Attach a great big brad with a rub-on to the top of the family photo.
