Cleaning Templates

Plastic templates are great for all kinds of paper crafting techniques, from tracing shapes to cutting them.

With use, your templates can get dirty, with pencil or pen marks along the inner edges of shapes, or chalk or ink from sponging or stippling.

How do you clean your templates? A baby wipe is the easiest method—simply swipe over the face of the template. To clean around the inner edges, wrap the baby wipe around the tip of a pencil and run it along the inside edges.

Don’t have any baby wipes on hand? Try a damp paper towel or a thin, damp rag. And if you use stenciling paint or Staz-On ink on your templates, be sure to clean them right away to avoid damaging the plastic.
