Tip of the Day

Day 1: Why not give the gift of crafting time this Christmas? A “coupon” for a day of card-making, scrapbooking or jewelry-making with a crafting pal (or one who doesn’t craft—yet) makes a thoughtful gift.

Remember those label-making dispensers when you were a kid? Now get the same funky look on your album pages, altered books, cards, journals and other paper crafts acid-free. These artsy word fragments are white type embossed on dark brown and black label-look paper. So what do we mean by “fragments”? They’re single words to be combined in twos and threes: combine Secrets and Journey on an altered book spread, Art, Music and Poetry on a scrapbook page or use single words like Heritage on a page or a card. You’ll also find phrases, like Follow Your Bliss, perfect for cards, layouts or journals. Straight lines are easy to cut out or tear. Attach to your paper with glue or foam tape. Four sheets included: two brown, two black.
